RAF Leuchars; 10-02-2011..

Spent a day down at RAF Leuchars after the last of my exams. Got an absolute belter of a day, the weather was fantastic and the action was quite good for the airbase.
The morning wave consisted of 9 aircraft.
Scimitar flight - 4 Tornado F3 of 111(F)sqn
Turbo, Cannon and Boxer - 4 Typhoon FGR4, 1 Typhoon T3 of 6(F)sqn.
Ascot 803 - C17 of 99(R)sqn which did about two hours of circuits.
In the afternoon the locals provided us with 7 aircraft.
Export flight - 2 Tornado F3 of 111(F)sqn (JU/ZE734 and HF/ZE791/JU-L)
Turbo, Cannon and Boxer - 4 Typhoon FGR4, 1 Typhoon T3 of 6(F)sqn..
Army Air 852/855/857 - Army Lynx AH7(?) which arrived and departed under those three callsigns.
Hotspur(?) - Falcon 20.

Like the pics with the scenery and the airfield overview very much to. Gives a good impression about what its like spotting at Leuchars.

Should go there one time.
