Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

my first post on scramble with pictures

Hello everybody,

I was just wondering what you think about my pictures.
I would like to have some tips for my skills so i can improve them and keep posting some shots on this wonderfull website.
Also, if you don't like them for any reason please tell me.
One extra note, some pictures weren't shot with my best camera but with a digital one, so there is some lack of sharpness.

I guess something went wrong because i can't see my own pictures, but i've followed al the procedures in the "please read before you post" part. can somebody help me with this?

well I tried to post pictures from my flickr account.
I did the next things:
type [img]before%20the%20link%20and[/img] after the link, just like they say in the "please read before you post part.
also i have my "enable BBCode" standing at yes
so i have absolutely no idea what i did wrong.

Are you sure you copied the complete URL for your pictures from flickr?

They are not only from a different format, but also quite short.

I don't post to many times my pics here, but from what I remember from the last time, flickr even provided the URL including the BBC code for all pics, ready to be copied to any forum.

yes i posted the complete URL.
they can also give me a short URL which goes like this http://flic.kr/p/9nucSR
the long URL goes like this (like i used them) http://www.flickr.com/photos/57000974@N ... otostream/
they can also provide me a HTML /BBCode, but as i did read in the instructions that's not what i need to show my pictures here.

From the FAQ:
The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines "pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr." Linking directly to the photo file doesn't do this.

That explains it... Photobucket?

I think the problem is that they're now Imagestreams at Flickr. You really need .jpg (or any other image) extension I suppose. My advise would be to use imageshack...

The trick is, you copied the link to the page, not the picture. So go to the Flickr page and then go to ´Share this - Grab the HTML/BBCode´. In there you can find the link to the actual jpg, which is the picture.
