ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Returned from Houston with a United 767-400 (N66052) this morning and finally able to upload photos from a good connection.

During the coming week I'll upload an impression of what I saw in Houston at Hobby and George Bush airport. Also some static photos from Ellington field and Nasa. As a photo registration spotter the two weeks I spent in Houston was enough because of the large number of Southwest and United (continental) aircraft.
Hobby also provided a large number of bizzjets, specially last weekend because of the final four (basketball) finals.

Today I'll start with a first impression from Saturday the 19th of March when I visited the old terminal museum with a mooney meeting, so first some small stuff :)

Using my jetlag to post some more photos, these are a series of the normal size aircraft you can expext at William P. Hobby airport. A lot of Southwest and a fair amount of bizzjets followed by a few other carriers. The time I spent at the airport where just a few hours every other day.
Via houstonspotters.com you can find out which places to use for spotting. Photos from the right are made on runway 12R (landing) and from the left on runway 22 (take off)

The next part of my trip was to visit Houston - George Bush Intercontinental (IAH / KIAH)

Before this trip I had contact with a scamble member who had been there before (thx USAIR cq Roy). He gave me some good information what to do and where to spot.
The best choice for my trip was to park on the 8th floor of the A+B terminal parking garage. From there you can see both sides of the terminal and see a lot of action. Most of the time I was there on the North side where taxiing aircraft and landing aircraft can be seen. The South side was a bit against the sun and the landing runway lies further away. (but the continental heavies taxi there)

When I landed I saw the atlas air at the cargo apron but to take photos there is impossible, but I was lucky enough to see it taxiing by for take of as the first airplane on the 25th of March.

I have here an interesting selection of my photos, the rest can be found (later) at my flickr page.
