Can you tell me where that location is?
I'm trying to visit Marseille this summer, and that seems like a good location to see some rare choppers!

Nice pictures of rare aircraft by the way!
Cheers,

This location can be found to follow the D20 from the terminal in the direction of Marseille. Take the exit to the D9 and park near the crossing with Avenue de Londres. You will need about 300 mm I guess.

There is some more info in the Scramble Airfield Guide at this website. There are some more interesting locations at this airport (for instance a place were you CAN spot Mauretanian Air Force Tucano's).

@Copter: From La Poste I used my 100-400 with 1.4 extender, so that's 560 mm with a cropfactor of 1,6, so equivallent of almost 900 mm, and still had to crop ;-)

So wouldn't expect great results with 300 mm.

Good luck overthere anyway.

Hi Marcel,

Indeed for shots of the factory tarmac you will need a lot of mm's. For landing shots and Eurocopter take off shots (at least) 300 mm will do.
