Jagdgeschwader 74; The Eurofighters from Neuburg

Post by Redskin301 »

Two weeks ago I had a visit with the GRAS at Neuburg. This base is the second operational airbase which operates
the EF2000. We were quite lucky today, because there were seven Eurofighters which left Neuburg to Italy to support
the international action in Libia. The weather was poor, but we were positioned very close to the runway. It was not
a problem to capture the Eurofighters during take-off. Also a Tornado IDS from Lechfeld came by to say hello. I was
very surpriced that we were allowed to take pictures in the main maintenance hangar, because we were not allowed
to do this at kaufbeuren a day earlier!

Sorry Alex,

one correction, the EF's dep. for Decimomannu for the normal yearly det. there and not
to support the international action in Libia.

Dietmar

hehe, that's what the guy told me at Neuburg!
Actually it doesn't matter; important was the amount of movements :)
