Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Biggin Hill 28-09-11

Post by Indiaecho »

Hi,

A few from a recent visit to Biggin Hill.

I have always thought that black is a good colour for an aircraft, as M-ECJI shows:-

The Falcon 7 is high on my list of good looking aircraft:-

A6-AUJ was the most interesting aircraft from my visit:-

N888HE coming into land after a test flight:-

To finish, here is Polish Learjet SP-CEZ:-

I hope the photos are of interest - some more from my visit can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/

Thanks for the replies.

MS - The photos were taken from a footpath that runs from Leaves Green to Downe. To find it, if you are coming from the south, drive by the runway threshold and past the old RAF buildings, and then you eventually come to a group of houses and a pub on your right hand side, set back from the road.

You should be able to find somewhere to park - there is usually room by the side of the road and there is also a proper car park (albeit it closes at 5pm) - and then the footpath can be accessed through a hole in the hedge. When you are there it is obvious where the footpath is, albeit it isn't actually signposted as a footpath until you cross a style into the field.

Gietje - just a word of warning - Biggin Hill isn't the busiest of airports. I only live a few miles away, so it is no problem for me to while away a day with nice weather (you are very exposed with no cover in a field) working on my laptop while I wait for something to happen, but if you have limited time in London and you like Biz Jets, you would probably be better off going to Luton or Farnborough.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks for the info, maybe then a quick visit for me next time ;) I've been to Luton and there's indeed quite a lot of biz movements there.
