In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

A very quick flyby for me at Eindhoven today. The light was terrible and ugly, and there was even some severe heatwaves (don´t know where that came from), so only four piccies....

1- 2 seconds after my arrival, this one suddenly showed up behind the trees and therefor i had no time to change to prop settings. What i do like abut this picture, is that the props are in exactly the same position...

2- Here´s another one in the wrong settings :( . Somebody maybe able to tell me what those cables/wires are that lead from the cockpit roof to its tail? they look like lightning distractors, but i´m sure they have another purpose.

These cables are part of the communication system :wink:
For lightning distraction they used static wicks on the rear side of parts like the wing/ horizontal / vertical stabilo ect.

Nice captures of the AN-12 :wink:

Well, these certainly don't show very conspicuously. :lol:

VERY enjoyable Antonov An-12 photos, and indeed some good "propeller synchronisation" by the maintenance crew. :wink:

wire antenna's for HF comms. Old but reliable system for comms over great distances ( hundreds of kms )
