The day started out rather dull... 1 Chinook and a dead runway with not a single light burning
#1)
It became rather cold and the light were off for already quite a long time. I left, but after not even a 200m I ran into Jordy. Waited a few, and when we heard a F-16 running, we went to the spotting place. I was just having a pee when I said 'That sound comes rather close!', when at the same time the Orange Jumper rolled out of the forest. Bam, my waiting hours in the freezing cold paid out richly!

Unfortunately, it was rather misty, with some unsharp images as a result
But Orange Jumper's announcement for a touch & go made up for it, and just the fact to see it once more quite very much compensated the lack of sharpness!
#3).On this picture, the extra long pilot tube is clearly visible. Apparently, it calls the nickname 'Viagra boom'...
Followed by a full stop!
#4).Chute deployed!
#5).And there it was already detached!
Through the noise of the engines we heard '...brake failure...' '...the cable!' over the scanner, and later 'Missed the cable!'. Rolling on the ground laughing of course, but when the white navigation light, the only visible part of the airplane through the mist remained at the same position at the end of the runway, and the crashtenders rolled out we realized, '=censored=!! It overshot the runway!!'. With the adrenaline running high through our vanes we went full sprint to the other end of the runway, where we found the aircraft turned in the oposite direction on the cable. It appeared that during our cicling there was said 'Should I go back on the cable, or stay here??'. Aha, just an exercise! But none the less it made for some nice shots, thanks to the airbase for creating this nice oppertunity!

I hope that despite the lack of sharpness you can still appreciate my pictures!
