LIMC-MXP Malpensa 25-30/03/12 - An-225 and Il-76!

Hi,
this week there have been 2 Russian surprises in Malpensa (ok, the Antonov is actually Ukrainian, but when it was built it was still in the URSS...)
First of all, the Beast herself, the Antonov An-225 Mriya, that loaded some components for a refinery. The last time it landed in Malpensa was in 2003:

If you are from Oporto, it will take off this evening and head there!

Then a smaller guy, but it's still quite rare: Ilyushin Il-76 Volga-Dnepr Airlines (pictures taken during a guided visit to the apron):

Those two are among the few civil aircraft I realy like! Great shots.

Hallo,

Yesterday, I was at Schiphol and hear the rumour that the Antonov 225 will visit Schiphol the first week of April2012. A security officer told me this news. Can anyone confirm this, and knows somebody more details? Thanks for answers

Hi, I did heard that rumour too. Someone at the Polderbaan told me the 9th of april. This is no official confirmation!

Hallo RutgerRogier,

Its confirmed by Schiphol Airport, but date and time are for this moment unknown, the expectation is next week sunday or monday, this plane brings contruction materials (windows) for the new buildings (the new detentioncentre / marechaussee office) of the SchipholGroup,

Yeah right, windows with the 225?
Windows are also maked in our own country, so I think this is joke.
