Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Schiphol Thursday 03-05-2012

Post by Kees van der Velden »

Yesterday was probably one of my worst days at Schiphol. I had hoped for showers with sunshine in between but the day started very foggy and it didn't get much better. Nevertheless, once you've driven all the way there, you might as well take a few pictures:

1. The day started off like this

2. On one of the cargo platforms

3. I hoped for a nice take-off shot but apperently there was nothing but air in the cargohold

4. When this one took off it was really too dark, so just a b&w one

5. I had hoped for more reflections on the underside...

6. This one was new for me

7. The sun came out eventually... for about eleven seconds...

8. At least the day had a good conclusion

Well Kees, perhaps not what you hoped for, but these are still photos I would certainly be happy about to have taken myself! Thx for sharing.

Bastiaan, somehow I must have completely missed your topic otherwise I would have added my pictures to it. I'm very slow uploading pictures and just maybe I was busy so when your topic was appearing?
Nice shots by the way, I see you didn't need to work with a long telephoto to frame them. Definitely an advantage in foggy conditions. ;-)

Hey Martijn,

Don't tell fairy tales! You didn't drive to Schiphol, your grandfather drove! :D
I remember you two and your grandparents, you were together in a little red car. I stood next to you on the parking lot.
Very well done! You made the most of the weather conditions, I especially like your first shot. Very nice composition.

Don't worry, you did well. I like #1 & #10 best, but they are all quite OK!
