London Heathrow (LHR) 14./16.10.2012

Post by FMori »

Hi!

It's already more than two weeks ago, but still I want to show You the photos from my latest trip to London...

I arrived at STN on the evening of October 13th and went to LHR the next day. The weather was nice with deep blue sky and some clouds...as RWY 27L was used for departures, I took the Underground to T5 and walked to the Esso gas station, hoping to get the new Malaysian A380 (and some more^^)

Soon after I had arrived, a first A380 left, this one for SIN:

Some 777s are quite high in the air, when they pass this point, but this one climbed away just perfectly:

Image

A little later...the second A 380 ^_^

Image

Two 380s of Qantas were sitting on the apron, but they didn't move...anyway, I was happy with what I had got so far!

Thai was there with an A340-600, but it had not cleared the fence when passing my position...but only a few minutes later, another A340 made up for this: Air Mauritius had not left the day before for some reason ...

Image

The next highlight was this Saudia 777...finally I could add this airline to my collection!

Image

Those two 747s are regular at LHR (especially the 2nd one ^_~), but they look nice ever end ever again.

Lots of Golden Doves had departed (and returned) during the day, this one finally left the ground quite late and passed along nicely:

Image

The next day was cloudy...so I spent my time in the city...and returned to LHR on Tuesday. This time I decided to go to Hatton Cross, as 27L was used for landing.

I had missed this Aegean 320 in Star Alliance colors two days earlier...

Image

And finally a 777-300ER...no day at LHR is complete without this type of aircraft ^_~

Image

I hope, You enjoyed them...

Some very crisp pics you made there. Like the Malaysian A380. Good weather too. Very nice!
