Admittedly, not military operational anymore, but a Dakota was circling east of Utrecht yesterday afternoon.
Anyone familiar with the reason for this pretty one?

Seems like that was this sightseeing flight from the DDA with routing over the "Utrechtse Heuvelrug".

At this moment (6-4-09 17:15lt) I can hear from Soest an Alouette III, I think it's flying at the Leusderheide or the Vlasakkers. Anyone with further information?
Are there excercices today, this evening or this week?

Hi Danny,

Probably two Alouette 3s, in formation. I saw them flying above A12 passing Woerden at 17.20hrs LT heading west .
Maybe a royal flight?! (direction to Den Haag/Wassenaar)..
Spotted them while I was driving so no serials.....

Regards,

Maurits

Yes I think we're talking about the same helo's! That's the time that I heard the noise of Alouette III's. First, I thought it was a excercise. But it's not usual that Alouettes are training at the Leusderheide or the Vlasakkers since Soesterberg is closed. Chinooks and Cougars is more usual ;) Thanks for your additional information!
