Just seen at Arlanda were two US Air Force 757s in connection to Joe Biden's visit to Sweden. Anyone know which two these are? Thnx!
Answers will be questioned.....

Hiya!

Visited Arlanda on our way to Linkoping (Malmen airshow). Should anyone be interested, I can post a log, however it won't show a whole lot more than what was reported by YS11.

I can confirm VP-BHM was still here on the 25th of August, on:
<longitude>17.96027
<latitude>59.65651

It was easily readable from near the gate just beyond the spotting place.

On the platform towards 26 rwy end, 2 MD's and 3 CRJ's could be found (mentioned is what's read, between brackets what their identities should be):
'DM' MD Swedavia (SE-RJP)
SX-BLL MD
VP-BMR CRJ
1x CRJ Rossavia (VQ-BBW)
1x CRJ Ibex (JA01RJ)

With regards to the visit of Mr. Biden, due to his presence the spotting place was closed until his jets (mentioned above) departed.
However, after his departure he fortunately left enough stuff behind to summon two C-17's, 10-0221 from Charleston and 00-0183 from McChord.

Also, as a side-effect we were forced to search for a site from which a/c could be read, and settled for:
<longitude>17.91636
<latitude>59.63123

This spot provides you with a good view of anything happening on 18R as well as lining up for 08. As Mr. Biden had exclusive rights to 18L, this worked well until he left, once that happened 18L quickly became the favorite departure runway thus making the spotting place more favorable.

HTH.

White C-32B 00-9001 arrived earlier on August 24, and also a RAF Voyager, ZZ331.

I know that it's not CIV, but I thought that I saw a C-17 on 25-August, on the other side of the airfield to where the 2x C-32As were parked. Does anyone know its serial? Many thanks.

Did you happen to notice the tail band (yellow or green)? I know one parked near the stored stuff and the other was on the same platform as where the 757's were, but I have no idea which is which (although I might be able to derive that from my notes).

Unfortunately, no I don't recall any tail band as it flashed past as we landed, it was late afternoon, around 1730 and there was only 1x C-17 that I could see, near the stored DC8 etc, well away from the C-32As. We couldn't get out of the Hertz car park for 20 minutes while the politicians returned in their limos to the C-32s! Thanks, Ian
