Eagles are Strike versions and should be replacing the 48th FW machines in Afghanistan.

Any serials and unit confirmation would be nice before we lose track of them after their departure from Lajes. Not usual that the USAF deployments use Lajes - they would normally transit via Moron. Good news to the Lajes spotters I suppose.

Good evening.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Lajes spotters must be on overtime over the last few days. We envy you!

Again any serial tie-ups and unit confirmation would be appreciated.

Enjoy the Eagles and the Hornets.

Does anybody know if the French Rafales from Red Flag also roted through Lajes last week on their way home?

If yes, what was arrival & departure day?

I think you mean the F-18s should be leaving Lajes destination Sigonella - according to my sources. The two Hornet cells have separated as the second one is delayed.

Last week the MO F-15E's where transit trough Lajes, there where 18 examples instead of earlier mentioned 16! altough only 7 where read of by me on pictures,

90-0244/MO
90-0243/MO
90-0259/MO
90-0249/MO
90-0247/MO
91-0300/MO
91-0333/MO

Also last week there where 12 Hornets from the Marines, They all were wearing DC code's which made them VFMA-122 examples.

Today the base is expecting 4 French Mirage's and tomorrow the base is expecting RAF Harriers and 12 A-10's so upcoming week will be busy again !!!

90-0224 is not a F-15E serial, maybe a mispole for 90-0234?
