Roof terraces in Europe?

Post by jeepteam »

Is there somebody in this community who has a list of airports in Europe where they still have a good, open terrace to make pictures. Like Schiphol and Bremen?

Yes Dusseldorf is nice
Bremen is a smal airport but nice terrace
In Girona they build a new parking garage just near the fence
but theres not much to see
Barcelona El Prad has a littele wooden tower near the sae
were you can see the new terminale and runway in use

Visited yesterday were Berlin's Tegel and Schonefeld airports, both with excellent terraces open, although both have very minimal cover should the weather be bad (as it was yesterday!!)

Regards,

Neil :)

Unfortunately, you're not (anymore).

Visited FRA yesterday, and the terrace on top of terminal 1 is closed and doesn't look like it's gonna open again anytime soon. The one on terminal 2, that has been closed for quite some time, is now open again.

Paris Orly... no nagging military police about permits, either 8)

And a little bit further away: Ljubljana in Slovenia also has a terrace, although a little small, but nicely situated between the terminal and the Adria maintenance hangar, with at least 5 CRJ's of (ex-) Air Littoral ;)

Also a stored DC6 on poles in authentic colours, can't remember the airline, though.

MUC has one nice terrace.

BUD has two (although they're right next to each other; one for intl. flights and one for Malev and regionals).
