Surprise, surprise.. The Puma’s are being re-activated back in service due to the
High costs of the Merlin at short flights en their maintenance problems.
Pilots are re-neweing their classifications and some have allready done this.
The story was also confirmed at Montijo where we were told the same…

SA.330S1 (up-graded SA.330L and not SA.330B 19503, 19504, 19505 and 19509 will return to active status again, and all based at BA Lajes. (source: http://www.falcoes.net/9gs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; forum)

Well.. the airframe has reached maximum hours, but they have requested a higher maximum. So they are waiting for approval or denial....

Will these Puma's fly again with 751sqn or will there be a new squadron reactivated??

From what I understood is that they are going to fly with Esq751 again..

According to reliable sources in the Portuguese military aviation enthusiast world, the Puma's will return to Lajes for a period of 2 years, after that the problems with EH.101 should be solved .......
