"Fruit Fly" monthly exercise with AWACS in Poland

There is a monthly military exercise of Polish Air Force called "Fruit Fly" based on cooperation with AWACS plane.

Yet another edition will take place tomorrow and the day after, i.e. on 10-11 September 2008.
This one will be connected with the presentation of some elements to the press and a press conference with the participants at Powidz AB (EPPW).
The AWACS plane is going to be the RAF E-3D (Sentry AEW.1) from Waddington. It is to stay and operate from Powidz AB for the two days.

In the exercise will also take part:
- 4x F-16s from EPKS
- 6x MiG-29s from EPMM
- 2x Su-22s from EPSN
- 1x TS-11 from EPMM
- 1x C-295M from EPKK
- 1x Mi-8 SAR from EPBY

Hope this is of interest. Also: every possible info about E-3D is welcome!

Right now (15 Oct 2008, 1248Z) and since some time yet the E-3A as NATO27 is making it's ILS approaches to RWY28 at EPPW (Powidz AB in Poland) - my friend reports.
Today another monthly exercise "Fruit Fly" took place in Poland.

At about 1345Z NATO27 left EPPW direct ETNG.

Today another edition of "Fruit Fly" national exercise will take place within Polish airspace.
Flights are planned between 0800-1000z and 1200–1400z.
The AWACS plane, namely E-3A LX-N90444, is already in Poland, at EPWA, since yesterday.
