Hi Erik,

I think you have a mispole here...nr 2 should be nr 25 I think. The '5' in 25 was very faded so a mistake could easily be made.

By the way, we had a mispole too. We read your 24 as 4 but another log already made me think that 24 is more likely.

Thanks Erik  And I am afraid Bas and Mark are totally correct! I have checked my picture of this Atla and allthough it is blurry because of the heatwaves and a single 2 seems the only digit you can see a very faint curl of the 5 behind it.

From the aeroclub side 25 was clear and the 4 in 24 was very faded
From the south side road, Chemin du Plan, 24 was clear.

On Sunday 13th, I also had a F-8E(FN), 37, east of the main hangar, visible from the aeroclub.

And yes, we will amend the airfield guide to include the road around the eastern threshold which connects spot 2 to 4 nowadays!

Hello,

Thanks very much for the 25! I also read 2...... The F-8 37 we also read, it is preserved next to the hangar.
On the 11th we saw a few things more;

HR.100 558/F-HACO
1620/AW Puma
355 AS.565
2 Altantic on overhaul
F-8 on dump
2x Alize (1 primer) on dump

I just looked the last 2 up on GE and already in 2006 they where lying in the same position. 20 mtrs SW of the 2 Alizes you see the F-8 (shadow of the tail on the grass). The rest are ony wings I hope.... (maybe another F-8 fuselage east of the Alizes?)

Inspected the dump on the 12th of June:
29 Etandard
80 Alizé bluegrey c/s
1x Alizé bare metal / primer (unknown to EMOOS)
1x F-8E(FN) cockpit only, grey c/s
(24) F-8E(FN) white c/s
(261) Lynx HAS.2 old c/s
30 F-8E(FN) white c/s
1x F-8E(FN) bluegrey c/s
+ many, many aircraft parts (wings, tailsections, nose cones etc.) of scrapped F-8's, Alizé and Etandard I think (both in bluegrey and white colors).

Preserved in the logistic area behind the gate indead:
37 F-8E(FN) (looking nice and shiny)
aswell as 2 or so orange/dayglow drones/missiles

Longterm overhaul/storage:
7, 8, 24, 2(5) ATL-2

Residents of the aeroclub / civilside:
12 CM.175 dumped/overgrown
SP-AOO AN-2T (former PWL 0865) dumped
(440)/13-QF Mirage IIIE Preserved
413/315-JB CM.170 airworthy (parked inside hangard behind Mirage III)
Kind Regards / Groeten,
