+1 (871 on nose)
Was there on 11-10-2011 and have for the MRTT-013: cn1080, EC-339 for UAEAF

871 should be N0871, cn871, ex F-WWKU and was the test aircraft for the USAF. Not sure if it still is or is used for something else.

A short stop today showed three RSAF A-330's, one UAE A-330, one RAAF? A-330, one unknown in primer, one other unidentified (looks a bit like the other RAAF!)
Also an A310 MRTT was on the ramp (factory bird?).
CN295 35-40 arrived for landing with 6 others on the ramp, a SAR CN-295 and I believe a VIP one. One Typhoon took of or made an overshoot!

Sunny weather caused a lot of heatwaves, does anyone knows of a good tip to look at the military ramp (other than the one mention on the afg) The dirtroad near the MRTT hangar has disappeared.

Hi
Good tip to look at the military ramp !!
Go to the cemetery at the south end of the base , early morning or late evening, this with a decent scope will reveal all including the new A330 hangar area.
The Footbridge near Getafe railway station northside ( again with a good scope ) will reveal the Casa 235s/Citations etc , this in conjunction with a walk along the wall road will give the older casa area.
The industrial estate @ the back of the new A330 hangars can be useful sometimes.
And finally there is a elevated view from the motorway exit road(west-side) if your feeling brave.

Always keep to 1st 2 hours & Last 2 hours of light for best results , unless your a approach dweller !!!
Regards

Hi Arjan

The footbridge is at the side of the roadbridge,
You can park at the railway station.

Cheers
