Reina Beatrix Intl (TNCA/AUA) - 2010

N416AV A320 Avianca
N39728 B737-800 Continental Airlines
N109UW A320 US Airways

N729JB A319 jetBlue Airways (text on nose: If you can read this, you're Blue close)
N75428 B737-800 Continental
PH-MCL B767-300ER Martinair (retro c/s)
N621JB A320 jetBlue (text on nose: Do be Do be Blue)

Above is the result of about 5 hours of spotting at Reina Beatrix Intl. (1230-1715, at spot 3 in the airfieldguide). Several aircraft (at least 10) were not read because half way through the afternoon the runway direction was changed due to shifting wind and I didn't have a camera or binoculars with me. Most of these were aircraft of the regulars at the airport (US, Continental, United, Delta, jetBlue, American). I also did not visit the general aviation platform opposite the terminal and across the runway. Visible there were several small propliners (Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft and types like that) aswell as some bizzjets. These were not noted....

For the next two years I will be stationed at Aruba and will try to keep a log of the movements at the airport. Of course I will leave out the regulars but since this was my first log, I included them for 1 time, to show how busy this small airport can be.

Nice logs, please keep them coming!

Have you spent the entire day at the airport on the 23th? Or on the 24th?
Three Super Tucanos for the DominicanAF were scheduled to visit Aruba on delivery from Brazil. They were expected in the Dominican Republic on the 24th, but could have been delayed.

Hey, no problem , I'll do my best to log as much as possible....

During the week I can't go any earlier as 3 in the afternoon due to work, and the weekends.... As soon as I feel like it.... Mostly around 1, as the action seems to start about that time.

Haven't seen these Tucano's around, and will keep an eye out for them. Should be a nice log....

Log July 26th (1515-1715)

HI... Jetstream 32 Aerolineas MAS
HP-1376CMP B737-700 Copa Airlines
EI-CEZ B757-200 Avianca
N246DH SA227-AT Ameriflight
PJ-... MD82/83? Insel Air

Also noted during the day were another SA227 of Ameriflight, an unnoted B727 (possibly AmeriCargo) and a B737 of Surinam Airways.

General Aviation platform:

N172E. ??? (looked like a Hs.125, there were covers over the engines, obscuring the last letter of the registration)
N551DA Ce550 +departure
YV394T SA227 +departure
YV1412 SA227TT +departure
YV2539 Piper? +departure
N822VK Beech 300 +departure
N9GY Ce S550
YV1486 Beech 100 King Air +departure
YV222T Cessna 402B +departure
P4-CAT Robinson R44 Helitours Aruba (I might be dyslexic.... I reported this one as P4-TAC before, but got a very good look today  )
YV1477 Bell 206 Aruba Police

Still there:

YV2099 Rockwell 690 +departure
YV1802 ???
YV2027 L410UVP-E
Plus the rest of the already mentioned locals and stored aircraft.

I was fortunate enough to have 3 looks at the General Aviation platform during the day, so this is a fairly complete log for today. For the movements at the other side of the airport.... There wasn't a lot going on today.... Even the regulars were down in numbers today....
