Interesting this chute-system

Regarding "2020 Sunday England PIX: aircraft fell into river, rescued.." just for info:

Apart from the water looking rather wide (and although the accident apparantly happened at the narrowest spot) The Solent isn't considered a river.
Actually it is a straight, a waterway that connects two larger bodies of water. And can also additionally be sea-characterised due to significant tydal influences. :)
