TACA (TA/TAI), El Salvador, has announced that it has ordered 12 A320s and 3 A319s from Airbus.

Hamburg International (4R/HHI), Germany, has announced a follow-on order for 2 A319s from Airbus. The announcement was made as the airline took delivery of the first of the A319s that it already has on order.

MatlinPatterson has ordered 6 A330-200Fs from Airbus, which it intends to be operated by VarigLOG and World Airways, which are owned by the company.

RAK Airways to order 4 aircraft

(MENAFN) The Chief Operating Officer at RAK Airways announced that the company is planning to sign agreements for the purchase of at least four new aircraft next month, Gulf News reported.

China Eastern Airlines Ordering 30 Boeing 737s

SHANGHAI (AP) -- China Eastern Airlines, China's third-largest carrier, said Wednesday it has agreed to buy 30 single-aisle 737s from Boeing Co.
The Shanghai-based carrier said the order was for about $1.94 billion, based on catalog prices dating back to July 2005.

ANA To Buy 60 Boeing Planes For USD$5.7 Bln

All Nippon Airways, Japan's second-largest airline, said it would spend about JPY600 billion yen (USD$5.7 billion) to buy about 60 new fuel-efficient planes from Boeing.

As noted in the thread regarding trans-Atlantic flights from London City Airport, British Airways (BA/BAW), United Kingdom, has ordered 2 A318s from Airbus.

Finnair (AY/FIN), Finland, has converted an option into a firm order for 1 A330 from Airbus although the exact model is not specified.

Romanian carrier Blue Air (0B/JOR) has ordered two 737-800's, with an option for two more.

Lonrho Air has announced that it has ordered 2 ATR72-500s from ATR, to be operated by their subsidary Fly540 (FFV), Kenya. This order is in addition to the order for 8 announced last month.

Spanish company JJH Capital has announced that it has ordered 6 Embraer 195 which are planned to be operated by newly formed daughter company Universal Airlines. The aircraft will be configured to seat 122 passengers.
