A total of 6.12 million passengers flew with Ryanair in September, a rise of 17% on the same month last year, the low-fares airline said today.
Load factor for the month - the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available - stood at 85%, up 1% on September 2008.
“Ryanair carried three times British Airways UK/ Europe passengers, and more than double the total number of British Airways passengers in September," said Ryanair spokesperson Stephen McNamara.
"Ryanair continues to carry more international passengers than any other airline, making Ryanair the world’s favourite airline," McNamara said.
