O well

we got another world famous Dutch hero aboard

just at CNN Jasper Schuringa from Amsterdam giving report about what happend.with his hand wrapped in bandage.
he was on the right side of the plane and the Nigerian man on the left,he jumped over the seats to subduce the man who after the incedent did not give any resistance.
out of his report I could make up that the atempt to ignite an explosive device is failed. It was leaking on the ground and Jasper tried to extinguish the fire.
well nice story......

to be continued (I think)

Greetings Ton

Haven't read all of the replies (got more work to do), but it reminds me of that bombblast in a Philippines 747, quite some time ago. A passenger boarded with quite regular stuff (or, in my memory it was quite regular), took it to the lavatory and constructed a bomb. I don't know if the aircraft crashed, but the blast was pretty fierce...

Indeed some sort of bomb made with a watch and other ingredients which were allowed to take with you...

And again.....
A Northwest Airlines jet was met by police at Detroit, Michigan's airport after its flight crew reported a "verbally disruptive" passenger Sunday, two days after an alleged attempt to bomb the same flight, aviation officials said.

The passenger spent about an hour in the bathroom and got upset when he was questioned by the crew of the flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands, according to government sources. Law enforcement agents were questioning the man Sunday.
