Forced landing Arkefly 737 in Rovaniemi

Post by JS50557 »

Technical Problems Force Landing At Rovaniemi

A Boeing 737 operated by the Dutch charter airline Arkefly made a forced landing at Rovaniemi airport Sunday afternoon following problems with the plane's flight control system.

Emergency services were in place when the plane, carrying 181 passengers and a crew of seven on route from Kittilä to the Netherlands, landed at Rovaniemi without incident.

The crew believes that the tail of the plane scraped the runway at Kittilä on takeoff. On Sunday evening the aircraft was at Rovaniemi undergoing inspection and possible repairs.

Ship involved is PH-TFB, flight OR0602 from Kittila.
