Italian Fokker F27 operator in liquidation...

Post by Stratofreighter »

Yes, it's MiniLiner...
MiniLiner in liquidation

The Italian cargo operator MiniLiner, S.r.l. is about to surrender to the drastic drop in orders. Since 17 December 2009 the company is in liquidation after a decline of almost 40% of orders compared to the period 2007-2008. After an unsuccessful attempt to re-capitalize the company the decision was made to hold the activity linked to the cargo airline and to focus on aircraft rental and extending the work of maintenance. The fleet of eight F27s and two Fokker 50s are parked at various locations in Italy and France.

At the moment Fokker 50F I-MLDT (20197) is leased and delivered to Deccan 360 since last November. It is uncertain if this Fokker 50Freighter will become active since the Indian cargo operator halted their operation too due to lack of demand. MiniLiner is hopeful to restart the cargo business later this year.
