Saturday Sep. 18 saw another crash at a German airshow, this time at Warngau in the south of Germany. Two aerobatic aircraft collided during their routine; one of them crashed, killing the pilot. From the tiny pics I've seen so far it appears to be an Extra but that might be off the mark.
edit: Indeed Extra EA300S D-EXHO From the pictures of the collision (and especially the smoke trails of both aircraft) it would appear that the Extra was hit from behind by the other aircraft that exited a looping. This damaged the wing and the Extra went out of control.
