According to Luchtvaartnieuws.nl Air France-KLM has ordered 25 A350-900's and 25 B787-800s, plus options for another 60 aircraft (also 50/50 split between Airbus and Boeing). More news to follow today.

Airbus mag in ieder geval 25 A350-900's leveren, Boeing even zoveel 787-800's. Dat meldt de Franse zakenkrant Les Echos.

De vaststaande orders voor vijftig vliegtuigen vertegenwoordigen een waarde van 11,3 miljard dollar (ruim 8 miljard euro).

Small correction (from the "underground layer"): options are devided into 25 B787 and 35 A350s. Also interesting to note that KLM will be flying both A350 and B787 in the future.

Avianca has ordered four Airbus A330-200 Freighters for operation by cargo subsidiary Tampa, Airbus announced Tuesday.

This will make Avianca the first Latin America operator to receive the A330-200 Freighter. The jets will replace Tampa’s current Boeing 767 freighters.

“As an existing operator of seven A330 passenger aircraft, we are confident that these new A330 Freighters will bring us greater fuel efficiency, lower operating costs and improved environmental performance,” Avianca President Fabio Villegas said in a news release.

Nigerian carrier Arik Air (W3/ARA) has placed an order with Boeing for 2 B747-8Is.
The order was previously listed on the Boeing site as being for an unidentified customer.

To be honest, considering their past plans and the regular money issues Arik seems to have, I'll believe this one once I see them flying their first service from Lagos!!!

The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2014, and will have their interior fitted in Comlux's US facility.
