Global Hawk is since about two years based on Guam and Sigonella. Deploy sometimes on Kadena and Misawa, Japan.

Used much in Fukushima accident.

According this source deploys P-8A with 6 aircraft. Further P-3C deploys also alongside the P-8A.

The P-8A unit in US is VP-16 (LF) from Jacksonville.

The deployed unit belongs to Task Force 72 of the 7. Fleet.

These both quick turned at Atsugi on the 1st before departing to Kadena.

On the 04th December 2 more P-8As from VP-16 followed the same route to Kadena via Atsugi,
