Counting down, the QF-4 Phantom

Post by wamovements »

Currently only 31 Q(R)F-4s remain active.

22 QF-4Es at Holloman AFB
6 QF-4Es at Tyndall AFB
3 QRF-4Cs at Tyndall AFB.

It is expected that the final three QRF-4Cs will be w/o by mid May 2015.

Go get them if you can!!!

Regards,

Just heard a QF-4 at Holloman refused to be shot down: a AIM9 bounced off the fuselage.
The QF-4 returned back to Holloman and landed with some damage.
Will share some images when I get them.

Today another QRF-4C (AF409) was shot down, leaving only AF-406 and AF-407 "operational"
