As per http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php? ... 4&start=30 ZH540 +ZH543.
Bit strange on Prune to say spares only, spares for what, i believe the Norwegian SeaKings are withdrawn for some years now. Perhaps more likely for SAR duties due to delayed delivery of the Sea Kings?

The Lynx was indeed retired in Norway two to three years ago.

The Sea King is still in service with the Luftforsvaret.

No idea how you can see that they will be cannibalised while watching the photos... those Sea Kings have both less flight hours then the Norwegian Sea Kings (first batch). So... nothing sure yet.

Let me rephrase that: according to the Google translation, parts will be used to keep the Norwegian Sea Kings operational. But maybe someone who is fluent in Norwegian can say more about this?

Ah... then you are right. Bit strange if you consider the fact that most RNoAF Sea King flight hours are much higher then those two ex RAF samples!. But... good to see the Sea Kings soldier on.
