The officer was 36 years old and served
as Chief Pilot at 861 Aviation Fighter 86 Aircraft Base Feteşti.

The aircraft piloted by Lieutenant-Commander Florin Rotaru collapsed Saturday,
July 7, around 13.30, after a flight made at an Airlift 86 air base.

The Romanian Ministry of Defence confirmed that all MiG-21 are grounded since yesterday.
