Kovilkino radar attached by Ukrainan drones. This is close to Nizhny Novgorod.

One Over-the-horizon radar was attacked. The Russian EW system called Container. The Container systems is rather new and is under test operation.

The result is not known of the bombing.

The radar is type like the Krug (circle) systems (CDAA type), but have different triangular or other shapes of rows who are electrically powered . A type of German Wollweber.

53.58.54-43.51.01.

Another radar of the complex at also not long way from Kovylkino.

53.52.00-43.59.31.

Further information with pictures of the radar can be seen at Internet for we interested.

I suppose the plant can have connextion with the Russian trying of disturbance of the US Starlink complex, and try to shoot it down with subcomplexes such as with help of the Tirada systems or other EW system.

According to Washington Post have Russia tried to put the Starlink, and other Western satellite systems out of operation.

Dzhankoj air base attacked by Ukrainan missile ATACMS yesterday. Denys Davydov show picture of destroyed SAM launchers. Several S-300 or S-400 SAM launchers destroyed. Vehicle wrecks are visible at the same pictures. Could be radar vehicles as they are based closed to the missile launchers.

Denys Davydov

No pictures of destroyed aircraft. The SAM launchers with radars could be the primary target before the based aircrafts and helicopters.

On Dzahnkoj are the Russian 39 VP (39 helicopter regiment) based together with some Su-25 bomb planes. Helicopters from Dzhankoj are staging based in Ukraine.

In Dzhankoj and Yevpatoria area is also a SAM regiment with 24 S-400 launchers based. The unit is fully mobile.

Some weeks ago were Yevpatoria area target for missile bombings. Certainly was the part of SAM regiment target and a local smaller air base in Yevpatoria area. In Yevpatoria area are also a large radar site.

The same time was the command post of the PVO division bombed with missiles according Ukrainan sources.

The accident happened in Stavropol area, a distance from Azov Sea.

Russia use a new version of missile, Kh-22 if I not are wrong.
It could be something wrong with the used missile.
The aircraft are burning much in the air.
Ukraine is during circumstances "happy" they use the Kh-22.
It is not so accurate.

The 20 dec 2023 was Vitino, Yevpatoria 40 KIK attacked by Storm Shadow

в/ч 81415 Евпатория, 40-й о командно-измерительный комплекс,
радиотелескоп РТ-70, радиотехнический комплекс Плутон, квантово-оптическая станция 14Ц213 Сажень-С. Фазан-МТС,
with laser and telemetry of satellites, such as Glonass.

Compare with the newly droned Kovilpino radar.

Both units used Fazan for steering of the satellites, and a connection with Tobol system. Tobol system is used to interfer Western communication satellites such as Milstar and Starlink. The intelligence from the satellites go to other GRU or FSB units.

The same day as the bombing of Vitino was Alusha bombed, with a FSB unit.

JAS 39 Gripen start from a road base today.

https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/vast/ ... -lidkoping

The chance that the plane have a Ukrainan pilot must be very high.
Sweden have a program to educate Ukrainan pilots on Gripen.

As of 29/30 April 2024: GPS over Estland is down.
As a result, Finnair suspends (most) flight to Tartu. But, with GPS down, that will have more consequences.

Were is certainly not only GPS who are involved. Several more sectors are involved in the Electronic War.
And the following unit are a part of it. It is a rather new unit, but not brand new.

в/ч 92626 Pionerskiy, Kaliningrad, unit ”26 IP, KIS” wich use Фазан maybee Фазан-МТС. Fazan is a kind of software for command of satellites. The unit also have hard equipment such as parabols and very large vehicles. The units mission is to disturb or destroy communication satellites such as Milstar and Starlink. This is a part of electronic warfare were both parts try to destroy each others ability to use communication equipment in different sectors.
Of Russias at least 22 units over Russia have 7 Фазан or Фазан-МТС, if not all.
Other types of units are also involved, which has other types of equipment.
One of them is the Mi-8MTP-1. Several of them have been shot down in connextion with the Ukrainan war. At least seven are shot down. They are organised of the the EW brigades (REB) from Vyazma and Bugry, St Petersburg. (Administrative centers. Other base places). The Murmansk-BN vehicles are also used.

Mi-8TP-1 based on Ostrov and Vyazma air bases.
