TOLEDO, Ohio - A plane with the 180th Fighter Wing had an in-flight emergency on Wednesday.

According to a spokesperson with the Ohio Air National Guard,
an F-16 Fighting Falcon had an in-flight emergency
and landed on the runway at the Eugene F. Kratz Toledo Express Airport around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday.
The pilot managed to exit the aircraft and is safe.

The nature of the emergency is unknown at this time.

The incident is under investigation and officials said they will release more details when they’re available.

This Viper is apparently serial 89-2089, not 2112 as reported by the aviation safety site. 2112 flies as the 112FS boss bird, the one with the mishap had 180FW markings on the tail, which is 2089.
