Belgian Defence's Leased A330 Delivered

Post by nils »

the new Airbus A330-322 that has been leased from portugese operator HiFly has been delivered to Melsbroek AB today (see spotting Netherlands section)
i have found a photo of the aircraft, and although i really like the aircraft itsself, i wish i could say the same thing about its "old school" paintjob.

Looks like they kept the paintjob as low budget as possible. Belgian Air Component would take a few stickers extra, so no option.

It is however not what i call a flagship to be proud of.

2 weeks ago, Belgian Defence / Air Component Airbus A330 CS-TMT suffered severe damage on the tail. as the aircraft was towed out of a hanger at Brussels Airport, the tail of the aircraft hit a wall. the aircraft is now undergoing repairs.

as a replacement, and as part of the deal, hiFly has sent a temporary replacement A330-243.
the aircraft, CS-TFZ, has been given temporary Belgian Air Force markings.

Here a photo of the "new" one
