CH-53 Super Stallion Down

Another Blackhawk (edit: CH-53) down, this time during an exercise in South Korea, near the North Korean border. 5 crew members and 16 personnel were on board, but there were no fatalities.

The b/n for this helo was 162484.

From a USMC source,this helicopter was a CH-53E,one of the 31st MEU assets,based at MCAS Futenma and was destroyed in this crash.

The modex MAY have been ET-23 from HMM-262(C).
