According to sources working at RAF Fairford some of the based bombers will make some flypast at various airshows
That would be something.......a B-2 for a flypast.....

If I'm right, 9 B52's are @Fairford now.

For those who missed it over at
http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?p=726985#p726985 :

Yes, the display organisation has already been working on one or several bomber flypasts for months now.
Here's hoping!

The B-2's are only at Fairford for one week. They will not be there when the show starts and will have returned to the US

There are 3 B-52s at Fairford, not 9. Plus of course the B-2s that arrived yesterday. The B-2s are only in the UK for one week and so will have left by the time of the show

Just following up on a recent question by Edmund , with the KLu historic flight on site and various stored frames does one get a chance to view any of the said frames ? Are shelters 617 & 621 open on the show dates ?

Regards

Hi all,

I've got two question with regards to transportation:
1. On Thursday, will bus service 130/131 stop at Burgemeester Ballingsweg?
2. On Friday and Saturday, from where will the shuttle busses go? From Tilburg CS and Breda CS or from Tilburg Reeshof? https://zoek.officielebekendmakingen.nl ... ortorder=4 and http://www.defensie.nl/onderwerpen/luch ... ikbaarheid both state something different.
Thanks in advance!

According to NS at teletekst it is Reeshof:
NOS Teletekst 753
 3/3
S P O O R W E G E N extra

20 t/m 21 juni

Luchtmachtdagen

De Luchtmachtdagen worden dit jaar
gehouden op vrijdag 20 en zaterdag 21
juni op vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen

* Vanuit station Tilburg Reeshof
vertrekken gratis pendelbussen naar
de luchtmachtbasis in Gilze-Rijen en
terug.
* De Intercity van Den Haag naar Venlo
v.v. maakt op deze dagen een extra
stop op Tilburg Reeshof

Besides that, I can imagine some people don't want it to start from Tilburg CS, as for the Saturday there are also shuttlebusses running from Tilburg CS to 's-Hertogenbosch due to railroad construction work taking place then, and it can be considered this is too confusing for some people, ending up at the wrong location.

Has anyone tried the Luchtmachtdagen-app? Give it a try, download it and have a laugh. It's free.

With one week to go the app still doesn't give any information. Nothing at all. There's a map of the base, but it's complete worthless: where are the parkings, static, entrances? No information about traffic, trains, show times or participating aircraft. There are a few photos and videos, but again: worthless. One feature works fine: the app can make a selfie of you, but why for gods' sake? The app also needs your gps-location and the right to make phone calls without you knowing it. Weird. And the app crashes on my Android unexpectedly and when loading a video. Never mind: delete!

But seriously. Why spending money on something like this? KLu: next time hire professionals to make an app (and maintain your website...).

With the exception of the two Turkish F-4s, Slovak MiG 29 and the pair of UH-72s, this year's Open Dagen looks very, very poor. :(
