Shame you guys who have ladders and park just behind the fence! Do you ever think that you block other photographers sector and chance to get taxiway photos?

One or two meters step back and you don't loose nothing but guys who don't have ladders get little space just behind the fence.

I saw plenty of space near fence where were no guys with ladders, so only advice is to be early to get where you want to be.

I just wanted to thank the organizers of this air show along with all the guys on this site that helped keep everyone else in the loop about this show. I flew over from the States and had a great time. All the advice everyone gave was terrific.

I do have to say that all the photographers with ladders were a bit shocking to me since you don't really see that in the States especially when they are already up front against the fenceline. But the second day I arrived earlier and managed to get a spot up against the fence so I got my taxi shots then.

Thanks again for putting on a great Hungarian Air Show!!

Yeah, a lot of people complained about them. But of course, the organizers cannot do anything against this kind of behaviour.

Contact RIAT. They did something about it, and it worked for a big part (well, I admit, it was their second attempt already).

I know a better solution: the organizers should use lower fences in stead of fences of 2 metres high. That was the reason all those photographers took their stairs in the first place!

Well, for most parts of the fence, it was only 1.60. So, it was rather easy to take photographs above it. 2.0 m fences were only used at locations where they wanted higher security.

1,60 meter fence can be still to high for someone. Organisers at many airshows use lower fences and I dont think the safety there is threatened.

1.60 meters is definately too much for me for instance. I am 1.75 meters tall, giving me 15 cm clearance from the top of my head down. That is not enough for a camera + lens including panning and aiming it. One of the reasons I skipped Kecskemet this time. An act I do regret however, having seen peoples results.....
