It's Israeli Air Force, abbreviated as IAF:

Israeli Air Force it most certainly is not! Would you say Royal Dutchman Air Force? No! Officially, but as far as I can tell no-one actually uses it, it is the Israel Air & Space Force (IASF - not ISAF, duh) although most people use Israel Air Force (IAF). If you are keen on "Koninklijke Luchtmacht" then you can indeed call it the Heyl Ha'Avir, although hebrew characters would be more authentic. IDF/AF is Israel Defence Force / Air Force which sounds just a bit too Belgian & not professional!

That's interesting: our Israeli friends themselves think it is Israeli Air Force: http://www.iaf.org.il/2381-en/IAF.aspx  as Erik_7Xi already pointed out.

Not wishing to bite the hand that feeds me, let´s just be kind and say their Hebrew is better than their English. There is no Israeli Air Force, and before someone posts a shot of a C-130 at Fairford thus adorned, let me make a couple of observations: not everything you read on the net is correct; not everything you see on the side of an aircraft is correct (anyone remember RC-135s?); OK, three observations, I am right.
Next.

Certainly not, as was proven already in your earlier post:

This, for instance, is the wrong comparison to make. We could say Royal Dutch Air Force, which as far as I know is not used, but is correct. The same counts for Germany. The country is called Germany, but the Air Force you can call German Air Force (not Germany Air Force). Same for Turkey (Turkish Air Force), France (French Air Force), Italy (Italian Air Force) etc etc.
In the same way, you would call it Israeli Air Force, not Israel Air Force.

Clear, but they say Royal Netherlands Air Force and not Royal Dutch Air Force. Now I lost it ... but I believe it was Israeli Air & Space Force (IASF) ...

We need a linguist :?
