EBBR 24-3-2022 Air Belgium/Hongyuan Group B748F

Hi,

Last Sunday 19-3-22 both Air Belgium B748F made a testflight. Both with an M-registration (ABOVABOW). Thursday 24-3-22 I spotted both B748F at Brussels Airport. What I could read despite the heatwaves where registrations OE-LFC and OE-LFD. Are these correct and if so why Austrian registrations and not Belgium registrations. As far as I know they are intended to be registered in Belgium. Is this a certification issue or a financial thingy

Likely a tax thing.

There are considerable benefits to be had by registering your aircraft in Austria rather than Belgium. Just ask easyJet and DHL.

...then of course there is Malta!
