Bitburg 1994

Post by ETURSPOTTER »

Hi All, during the closing ceremony in 1994 at Bitburg when 53TFS moved to Spangdahlem.
In the big hanger stood in front of the ○'s Stars and Strips an F-15 .. -013 with 17 "kills"pilot should be Brig Gen. Carlton.

Can anyone of you tell me the fiscal year of it please? if you will & can with a photo would be great.

Many T.I.A.

Greetzzz Frits.

I'm not sure. Stupid me: I took a photo too and forgot the write down the number.
But all other F-15s on the flightline of Bitburg that day were FY 1984.

I can't tell from the picture, but the FY should also be on the inside of the nosewheeldoor. Do you have a better quality pic?

The ejection seat appears to show "4013", which would confirm FY84.

That's right! On the large scan I can clearly read 4013. Thanks Gerard!

You could also check it on the inside of the nosewheel door. If you could blow up the first picture you will be able to read it. It should read 4013.

Cheers,
