Bell Geospace has been contracted to do low level flights around Würzburg to check geothermal potential for a local energy company. The converted DC-3 a.k.a Basler BT-67 has a long tail-mounted boom and carries various instruments. The nearby Giebelstadt aerodrome is a former military field where normally not much is going on. We were lucky to get access to shoot photos inside and outside the colourful plane.
