For everyone with nostalgic feelings: on the 28th of november 2010 the second edition of the runwayrun will be held on Soesterberg, organized by Altis. There wil be a 5km run (09/27 runway) and a 10km run (09/27 runway and 13/31 runway).

Join in and participate in this Wolfhoundsrun!

When the museum of the RNethAF was still at Soesterberg AB you could visit it on saturdaymornings. As a F-4C from Torrejon AB, Spain stayed over for the weekend, that was worth the try of getting a hit-and-run shot of the F-4 since the security police watch was close to the visitorsramp. The poor quality of this shot indicates it certainly was a hit-and-run shot, but a nice jump back in times when photocalls did barely exist.

RAF Tornado's were very frequent visitors those days. Here some 31 Squadron and 617 Squadron examples on the taxitrack back in 1987.
