At the Safaripark, Volkel; 36-10 was on static display opposite to H2, in front of H4. 40 years 311 sqn, May 23rd, 1991

Pratica di Mare, 50 years anniversary of the Starfighter and farewell party all as well, May 30th, 2004. They had the first FIAT-assembled F-104G on display (mm6501) on loan from the museum at Vigna di Valle and 9-31/mm6934 with an RSV badge on the tail did the solo-display.

Some Volkel nostalgia: The October 1979 photocall was quite special because the parallel runway was in use. When the first F-104 engaged it's afterburner 20 meters in front of me, I decided it was time to look for better ear protection.

Great shots and great memories, all of you :respect: .

After a visit to Grosseto and Grazzanise in March 2004, I stayed in contact with several of 9th Stormo's pilots. During my holiday at Sardinia in May 2004, this resulted in another friendly Italian officer getting me access to Decimomannu, where I shot a mix of 4th and 9th Stormo aircraft while preparing for an returning from a 3 versus 3 exercise. I won't post all pics at once!
