We were flying last mid-august on an Air Canada A330, sitting on the left hand side. Flight was from London tot Vancouver and we approached from the north. I could maybe check the time of the picture compared to the landing time...
Maybe next time you should bring your own GPS device on board so you know exactly where you are

Great job!
I think I move to Canada, what a lot of nice airports. Especially the one close to rivers![/quote]

Thanks for the effort.. Turned out to be much more south than where I looked. Probably didn't think of the curvature of the earth, I looked way too North....

My secret is relatively simple.
I use my flightplanning program here at work to plot the probable route that you would have taken, and then check all the airports on the map that are close to the route.
Makes it fairly easy.

Heres a couple for the rest of you to guess (I already know the answers):

1.
Image
On the left of the aircraft, just after crossing the Indian coastline, enroute Denpasar to Al Ain, UAE.

2.
Image
Again to the left of track, 5 minutes after takeoff, enroute Al Ain, UAE to Zurich.

3.
Image
Right of track, and slightly behind us, shortly after beginning our crossing of the Med enroute between Al Ain and Zurich.

Enjoy, I'll see if I can find some more on my hard drive.

Anyone for this airport enroute AMS-BJV on a MP MD-11. Thnk this is in Germany.

Thanks,
Hi,

For sure this is "Frankfurt".
You can see the ( former ) militairy area at the left side and the 2 parallel runways( forget the numbers) also seen the motorway in the front.

By the way 2 nice photo's from i think FL320 or higher???........

Cheers,
Thanks, and also for Jeroen! As you can see I'm not the best in "airport-guessing". the flight was quit high, yes. I now got myself a better camara!

Because some of you are really pro in this, I thought lets make it a bit more difficult. Some of you are making a game of it so...

Guess this airport:

I know the answer.

And an easy one after take-off MXP:
