An-2 Zwolle.

Post by geert »

Payed a visit to a studentshome in Zwolle last wednessday where I found this An-2. Couldn't find any c/n or reg though.

According to the people who live there, it has been there before they came in. Looks in pretty good shape. The fuse is a bit shorthend, because it wouldn't fit otherwise in the room.
They made a TV-case of the aft part of the fuselage.

Does anyone has an idea of the identity of this plane?

Thanks.

One question, maybe you or anyone else can answer:

Behind the cockpit, at the leftside of the aircraft, against the inside of the ceiling, is a round device with some hoses or cables on it. Anyone who knows what that's for?

:M-): , but no! (I know that for sure cause one of the students didn't know what it is.)

One other question:

Is there anyone with a picture of this aircraft when it was active?
Either military or civil.

That is a nice find! This one came from the Harley davidson museum, and never made the move to Raalte with the museum. I was told it moved to a "hotel" in Zwolle, that's all I ever found out about its fate. Any way you can share the address? I would love to check it out myself one day!

According to EW&R 3 they had this one, and the location ties in with the information I got at the museum (about the move to a hotel in Zwolle). Wasn't SP-WWI the one that used to be dumped somewhere in Zwolle and was then turned into some travelling exhibit (amongst others for De Parade)? That's a civil only one by the way.

Allrighty then.

Any idea where the An-2 is that was between Dalfsen and Heino, somewhere alongside the road?

Tried to find it about one or two years ago, but couldn't.

Anyone?

Went to Zwolle to take some pictures today. They even want to show you around if you want, but to prevent that
there is nobody home, they ask if you want to send a e-mail so they can make a appointment with you. Contact
