Lelystad Info required please

Post by HFB320 »

Hi Guys

I am a Brit spotter just returned from 2 great days spotting in the Netherlands
Visited Lelystad and have 3 request for local info

In the museum there is a nose section ( fokker ? ) with 52 stencilled above the window
History of this please
On the far side of the runway in the NW of the airfield appear to be some fuselage sections
again histoty please
When you enter the field again there is a nose section brightly painted
Is it a real section?

Any info greatly appreciated

Hi David,

I'm not a regular visitor of the aviodrome, but on the website (english google translate click) they have a list with all plane's, plane parts etc. that the museum have on display, storage and also planes that are borrowed to other museums.
Also the C/N's of most parts are in the text.

The only difficulty is the all text is in dutch.

So maybe another member of the scramble forum can identify this 3 requests for you.

Or maybe try an e-mail. (also on the website under contact)
To, i guess, Peter van de Noort, as he is Collection, Exhibition and Press Spokesman.

Hello,

The fuse with 54 on it, was it white, with a red and blue line? If so it's probably an F28 mock-up.

The fuselage sections in the NW COULD be, not sure, Cockpitpart of the 20318 (F50) not completed aircraft. Fuse part of the 20325 (F50) also a not completed aircraft. Since these parts are loaned to Lelystad Airport.

Can't help you on the bright colored fuse.

Geert.

The brightly painted nose section is a mock-up from the Fokker factory, so it is not a real aircraft.

David,

Went to Lelystad today. Cockpitsection in the NW is of the 20318, although it's painted as 218. (This one is an ex KLM Cityhopper frame, so guess this should be 318)

Fuse part has no number on it.
