Question about Vissenaken storage site

Post by Buccaneer S.2B »

Good morning,

The "Belgische Legermuseum" storage site at Vissenaken/Belgium: can anything be seen from outside nowadays ?
Their used to be some Mirages, but I know they are all gone (f.e. to Bitburg). I was wondering if it's still worth
the detour from Saffraanberg next Sunday.......(also planned Bruxelles/Legermuseum and Beauvechain/1st Wing Historical Center, so Vissenaken
might be on the route if worth the effort at all).

Thanks in advance, hopefully somebody can provide me an answer

With kind regards,
Remco

Nothing visible from outside. The Fouga magister fuselage are located between two sheds and are unfortunately not seen from the public road.

Don't forget the pole-mounted Fouga at the roundabout in Brustem (Luikersteenweg; direct from Saffraanberg...), and don't forget the pole-mounted Fouga at the roundabout in Milmort (and the F-16 a 100 metres further down the road at Techspace) if you come to Saffraanberg from the direction of Liege! Happy hunting!
