Question: TS-11 alnog N277 between Venhorst and Elsendorp

Post by Buccaneer S.2B »

Good evening,

Along road N277/Grote Baan ("Midden Peel weg") between the villages of Venhorst and Elsendorp an all grey TS-11 Bies
was noted today, with an information shield from Paintball Games Venhorst attached.
Does anybody know the identity of this one ? BTW: location (East of the N277) belongs officially to the village of Landhorst,
not Venhorst or Elsendorp.

regards,
Remco

Good morning,

this TS-11 was sold in Januari from the Boogert Company Zoeterwoude to Paintball games Venhorst. It's in bad conditions.

the only C/N plate i could find is inside the cockpit on the rightside, but not readable.

Any help of info is welcome.

Good evening,

Thx for the response: at least it's clear where it came from.
Nobody has been able to check the c/n at the "kijkdagen" prior to the auction in Zoeterwoude?

regards,
Remco

According to a recent Scramble (Wrecks & Relics section) the TS-11 was closely inspected but no c/n plate was found. Only some wing plates were found, but they belong to different aircraft that can't be this one. So probably one that will stay anonymous forever unfortunately :-(

Visited and checked this TS-11 today and found several numbers:
- inside the cockpit was a c/n? plate with 0725 on it
- left wing wheelbay c/n plate 2H0904
- right wing wheelbay c/n plate 2H0905
- on some maintenance panels on the nose, the inside read on one 1H0317 and another 019. painted in red. These could have been taken from another a/c though.

Wow, that's what I call a composit aircraft...

I couldn't find anything about a TS-11 with 0725.
Both the 2H-0904 and 2H-0905 went to the Indian AF.
And the 1H-0317 is the one which is preserved at Deurne.

Perry,

There is one more plate to check.
On the tail structure, at the bottom were the rudder is mounted, is a plate.
You have to move the rudder to one side to see it.
I know the plate is there as I saw it when the a/c was still at Zoeterwoude for auction.
But at that time my flashlight failed when I wanted to look at it and had to
leave the building at that point (pre-auction visiting day was over).

Otger

I've got a old production list from the Polish Iskra`s (current till 1998)and 1H0725 is from a batch that was sold of to all-over the globe most of them went to the USA and Australia.
But no mention of the whereabouts from 1H0725 reg 725.
It must be a TS-11 Iskra 100bis (B).
I've seen the c/n plate as well but it is to far gone for positive identification.
But my bet is on the fuselage of 725 1H0725 Polish AF.
1H0317 was still active in 1998 and 019 ? could !! be 1H1019 1019 and that one was sold to the USA as N101TS in 1992.
But a lot of Iskra airframe,s are still missing/unknown and i`m afraid they will be forever.

According to European Air Force Directory 2010/2011 725 was in Babimost (town) untill sept. 2003.

I found this info on Warbirds of India:
W-1758 and another unknown Indian Iskra were seen scrapped at the Babimost Airbase towards the end of September 2003.
Coinsidence??

The plate on the tail structure shows:

AOR.N H0827 (possibly it is "ADR.Nr" or a combination of these two)
WKT [inspection stamp]
ZAM. [nothing]

So maybe 827 is a candidate?
