MacDill 60-0324 has been here as a Green Flag tanker and will probably be gone today. was on my list
I knew 166635 was 213. damn keyboard and old eyes!
might want to recheck your pics, 207 and 216 should have been green flagging VFA-14 Tophatters
NG-207/166429, NG-216/166439. also NG-200/16634 CAG, NG-201/166435, and NG-203/166433. parked in the revetments so all that would have been visible from the east side would have been the tail tops.
last week were also VFA-151 NG-300/168471 CAG, NG-301/168480, NG-304/168474, and NG-305/168475 were flying Green Flag with them, but left halfway through for some reason.

The special marks bird (A21-49) has not made it to KLSV. One jet had to do an emergency landing at Anderson AFB with a hydraulic leak and it appears this is the jet. There are seven RAAF Hornets on the Nellis flight line as of 07.30 on the 30th.

serials quoted for these,

A21-16
A21-21
A21-23
A31-35
A32-45
A21-46
A21-47

These jets are not from the same squadron. some are 3 Sqn and others are 77 Sqn,there may even be some from 75 Sqn.

Another KC-135R identified today off SBS is 60-0324(should be 91st ARS,92nd ARW).

The road to the speedway from the main gate was off limits at least during part of the afternoon, preventing spotting from the usual afternoon position. Normal service has now been resumed, and if the predicted rain holds off Friday afternoon at the speedway is billed as "the place to be".

F/A-18F 166635 is code DD-213.

2 additional F/A-18Es seen departing during the afternoon of the 29th were (DD)-207 and 216.These were read from photos on departure from runway 03 from the speedway.

These did not depart with the main Red Flag early afternoon launch and these jets were not present on the flight line at 07.30 on the 30th.they appear to have been visitors.

EOR,

The exact unit for the 2 extra F/A-18Es was unconfirmed, so it would appear the 2 departures were those.

Showing on SBS just before 17.00 on the 31st,after most people had gone was RAAF C-17A A41-210 calling ASY407.It may well be at Nellis and confirmation(or otherwise) will be made when it is daylight.

A look at Nellis earlier today did not find the RAAF C-17A here.

This was 'lost' on SBS at 2'000ft at 16.47 LT on the 31st,so where ever it went cannot be far away.

Here is my log and few pictures from the first day of Red Flag 14-1.
The order is pretty much of the time when they were shot. I've got to Gate 4 around 10:30am and left after B-2 arrived around 4:45pm.
I didn't list any of the Thunderbirds from the two practice flights which they did that day.
There was one RAF Typhoon which I didn't get numbers for during departure and arrival.

Morning,

Belgiums will be deploying to US tomorrow (not sure if they go straight to Nellis after stop at Bangor or do some pre-work).

Interesting, are there more Belgiums on the planet than the one in Europe?

I believe they'll stop at McGuire first. BAF216 returned to Belgium (the only one!).

Bennie, Tanker was very clear that they would refuel only 511-514. 515 was spare and returned, 516 never went airborn.

The report above that the RAF Tornados are in 617 Sqn marks is incorrect. Of the seven all are unmarked save for code 038 which is in 12 Sqn marks.

The Typhoons are operated by a mix of 1(F) and 6 Sqn crews for the purposes of the exercise.
